Barcelona - La Paradeta

There are I think three restaurants in this 'chain' in Barcelona. This one is right around the corner from the Sagrada Familia and seems to be mainly open in the evenings. The one in the Born is open for lunch too.

This is what's inside the door. A big mill, mountains of perfectly fresh seafood, and people to serve it to you. You order by the weight or by the piece. And then you tell them how you want it cooked; grilled, fried, steamed, alla marinara etc. Then take your ticket and go wait for your number to be called.

Mussels alla marinara.

Chipirones - tiny fried baby squid.

Razor clams, very popular in Barcelona. These were extremely tasty and simply cooked.

High end prawns which made up almost a third of our bill, but probably one of the tastiest things we ate on our whole trip. When I say a third of the bill, I think they were ten bucks for the lot. Also featuring here are the baby octopi.
